Dollar Grills & Martinis

The second collaboration after the success of The Hill, Kristian worked with the client in an organic design led process and oversaw the conversion of the historic Islington listed pub to a ground floor bar and restaurant with open kitchen grill kitchen. This saw the opening up of the original space, moving up of the existing floor to give extra basement head height and the creation of two new staircases to allow customer flow. Using the original building and its essence were possible, Kristian added bling-bling through leather, glossy tiles and plushness, capping it off with reclaimed 1960’s lights from a Geneva bank, photographic art and plenty of neon.
